Devin Scheller, MS, CAP, RMHCI - Director of Operations  

Devin has been working in the field of substance use treatment since 2013. During this time, he received his Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) and an MS in Mental Health Counseling. The first two years of his professional experience focused on the residential component of treatment. Starting as a behavioral health technician to gain some experience, he quickly advanced to the role of residential director, after which he transitioned into providing clinical services. For the next five years he provided substance use counseling services, the final two of which were at Campus Recovery. During this time, he worked closely with medical staff to assist clients with meeting their medical and medication needs, before assuming the role of Clinical Manager for the next year. Devin has since stepped into the role of Director of Operations, and while his role has changed, he still provides counseling services at times. His integrative approach to counseling includes Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Existential Therapy.

Jennifer Babione, LMHC - Clinical Director  

 

Jennifer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. She graduated from Palm Beach State College with a undergraduate degree in Business Supervision Management and later earned her graduate degree in Counseling Psychology for Mental Health from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Jennifer has over eight years of experience with working with children, families and individuals with substance abuse, co-occurring and mental health disorders. She also completed an EMDRIA Approved Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Training (EMDR) in 2019.  Jennifer seeks to empower clients to help them find freedom and healing in order to live their personal best in all areas of their lives. She works with her clients on addressing the underlying anxiety, depression, and trauma throughout the recovery process to help them arrive at a place of self-assurance, strength, and acceptance through the use of evidenced based methods.

Lizardo Velarde - Residential Director  

Lizardo brings years of hands-on experience to the team. Lizardo was born in Washington D.C. but was raised in South Florida for most of his life. Lizardo got into the field in late 2012 as he was looking for a more fulfilling job and started as a Behavioral Health Technician. Shortly after starting, he quickly found his passion for working in the substance abuse and mental health field; he found more than just a job, he found his career. Lizardo’s well-rounded traits range from great leadership skills to compassion for our clients. He wants everyone suffering from addiction to know, “it is possible, and you are worth it.” As the great Robert Clemente once said, "If you have a chance to accomplish something that will make things better for people coming behind you, and you don’t do that, you are wasting your time on Earth.”

Nicole Reid, LMHC - Primary Therapist  

Nicole is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.  She graduated from Florida International University with her undergraduate degree in Psychology, and later earned her graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Barry University.  Nicole has over four years of experience in substance abuse treatment and the treatment of co-occurring disorders, and 10 years of experience in education.  She also completed an EMDRIA Approved Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Training (EMDR) in 2019.  Nicole believes that change happens when people are provided with the guidance and support they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential.  She provides an environment of compassion and support to help individuals and families overcome obstacles to move forward and lead happy, fulfilling lives.

Deborah Bradshaw, MA, RMHCI - Primary Therapist

Deborah was born and raised in Guyana, South America. Deborah is registered intern (RMHCI) in the state of Florida. Deborah earned an undergraduate degree in dance/movement therapy from New York University, and later earned an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. Deborah is experienced in substance abuse treatment and concurring disorders. Deborah’s areas of strength include Client-Centered Expressive Art therapies and Cognitive Behavioral therapy to assist clients in working towards restoring balance and becoming their own intuitive guide in all aspects of their lives.

Ana Fatani, MS, RMHCI - Primary Therapist

 

Ana graduated with her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2014. From 2014-2019, she serviced the US veteran’s populations in administrative support within the government sector, but an overall total of 10 years’ experience. Shortly after, Ana joined the Campus Recovery team while she obtained her graduate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Mental Health Counseling. She believes change primarily begins with full acceptance of a need for change, and willingness to pursue new beginnings. She believes connection with one another authenticates our human experience, a significant factor to facilitating the healing process. She relies heavily on evidence-based techniques as she journeys through the experience with each client.

Olivia Savor, MS, RMHCI - Primary Therapist

Curt Randles - Intake Coordinator, Medical Coordinator, Case Manager  

Curt is originally from Ohio. He came from a family with a history of substance abuse and mental health problems. Curt has fought his own addiction issues and found how important the right guidance is. Through continued sobriety, he has been able to build a network of sober support and encouragement, that he brings with him to Campus Recovery. Curt enjoys working at Campus Recovery because he has an opportunity to show that change is possible and there is hope for those struggling through addiction. He believes everyone has a chance to succeed, no matter how many times they may have tried. As the case manager, he handles client concerns that clients may have prior to entering our care such as and not limited to FMLA, unemployment, legal Issues, resume building, etc., and conducts the intake process for new clients.

Gabriela Corticchia, MS - Office Manager/HR  

Gabriela is the Office Manager at Campus Recovery. She has lived in Florida for 17 years. Gabriela is pursuing a graduate degree to be a Clinical Psychologist. She has years of experience working in the mental health field and enjoys helping others who are struggling with their mental health. Her goal as Office Manager is to ensure the smooth operation of the office, and provide efficient handling with all staff and clients.

Billy Meurer - Director of Business Development  

 

Billy is originally from Orange County NY. He attended S.U.N.Y Cobleskill where he majored in hospitality marketing. He started his career in the substance abuse field in 2015 where he was an admissions coordinator at a treatment facility with locations across the country. Being in recovery himself since 2012 he has learned how to help people struggling with addiction personally, and practicing that same approach professionally. Here at Campus, he is our National Director of Business Development that oversees the business development department across all 3 locations of Pax.

Evan Frizell - Client Care Coordinator  

 

Evan is a Campus Recovery Alumni and is now helping countless others get the help they need. After graduating from our program, Evan told a staff member, “I dream of working here one day, I feel as if this is what I am meant to do.” His perseverance is a great example of how the program works and that sustainable recovery is possible! Evan brings a ton of contagious upbeat and optimistic attitude to the team. He is an avid musician of 14 years and enjoys performing, promoting, and networking. Evan will go to any length to ensure all clients, regardless of their circumstances, get the help they deserve. He enjoys engaging with clients and keeping the Campus Recovery Alumni community engaged in their recovery journey.

Patrick Smith - Alumni Coordinator

Originally from Allentown, PA, Patrick moved to Florida in 2018 in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. He first began working at Campus Recovery Center in March of 2020. Patrick quickly proved to the company he is a great asset by making client care and safety his number one goal. With over 3 years' experience in both personal recovery and working in treatment, Patrick utilizes his skillset to help clients foresee their possibilities. In his spare time Patrick enjoys video games, and skateboarding. Patrick wants all clients coming in to know he is here to help their early recovery feel more comfortable and that “with consistent hard work and determination, sobriety is possible for anyone!”

Leslie Parkinson - Lead Behavioral Health Technician 

Leslie has always wanted to help others. Despite having a robust career, including owning her own company, Leslie decided to return to school at age 50 to obtain her state license as a Radiologic Technologist. While this satisfied her to some extent, she wanted to do more to help others. Ten years ago, Leslie found her calling working with adolescents in substance abuse and mental health treatment; her past experiences proving a valuable asset towards helping these troubled youths. At the beginning of 2020, Leslie joined the Campus Recovery team as a Behavioral Health Technician, where she continues to utilize her skills to nurture, and provide direction to our clients. Leslie has a strong desire to keep learning and growing for her clients, and has since been promoted to Lead Behavioral Health Technician. Leslie gives 110% to her work and her clients, and has a strong desire to help every client at Campus Recovery succeed!
